Description
Siren Craft Brew exists to encourage more people to enjoy, fall for and experiment with craft beer. The Sirens of Greek mythology would entice mariners with their magical songs. Their voices would entwine into a complex, layered melody. At Siren Craft Brew, we work in a similar way, combining four ingredients that interact together in magical ways to create our ales. Each beer is individual, overflowing with flavour, aroma and texture. Each holds its own secret. Each is a little dangerous. Liquid Mistress, Under Current, Sound Wave and Broken Dream are here to tease, sway and persuade. They gently beckon you to a new world of taste. Let yourself be carried away. Be enticed…

Day 14 of my Mr Hop beer advent calendar, got this direct from the webshop, Vernay, Netherlands. Had this at home after a 15-16km loop walk from the house to Brotjackelreigel and the Steinberg Skilift. We've got a homemade Cannelloni in the oven and listening to LCD Soundsystem - Home. Pours a very light hazy gold with a mid sized white head. I have to be honest, for a Siren beer this is majorly disappointing, it really doesn't tick the West Coast IPA vibes for me. It's a bit sluggish, aroma verging on artificial, and despite being easy drinking for the abv there are few other positives. Lacking in bitterness, hoppiness, crisp bite, in fact whilst not a bad beer, it's just a bit of a disappointment. Score 6.3

Dark toffee roasted malts, dark caramel, stale beer in the Aroma
Flavor is better, sweet toffee , caramel, butter, faint roasted malts, vanilla , somehow does not feel overly adjunct driven, tastes like a good dessert cake.

375ml bottle. Murky, brown colour with very weak, ruby shimmer and small, frothy, fading, off-white head. BA supported, minimally chocolately, caramel malty and vinous, yeasty fruity, slightly woody aroma, notes of dried fruit, dried berries, blue grapes, some vanilla, oak, whiffs of marmite. Taste is BA supported, sweet-ish, caramel malty, vinous fruity, slightly woody, mildly spicy, notes of blue grapes, red wine, dried fruit, dried berries, some oak, vanilla, Bourbon, a touch of cinnamon, Marsala, plum wine; well hidden alcohol.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, dense, soft, still efficacious carbonation.
Rich and multifacetted, balanced, seemingly light, not exactly drinkable but a very easy going sipper - really good.
