375ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with minimal brown head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice. Taste is very rich, sweet, prominent bourbon and oak, coffee, liquorice, dark chocolate, dried fruits, the coconut is there too, had to look for it, boozy alcohol notes. Full bodied, smooth.
Wow, what an incredible beer. And 72 months (6 years) in the barrel is one of the longest ageing periods I've seen.

Jet black stout: apparently a nitro. Smallish slightly unstable 1cm head. Sweet milk coffee with chocolate / cacao on the nose. Sweet chocolate espresso on the palette. Nutty. Not too sweet. Almost peaty smoky flavor in there. Good! Not very intense.

375ml bottle. Slightly hazy dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of dried fruits, raisins, date, figs, caramel. Taste is quite sweet, oaky, red wine, bourbon, caramel, figs, dates, raisins, boozy notes. Medium bodied, smooth. Very nice, if a fair bit sweeter than I remember previous vintages being.

Can from the Asdas. Nose is earthy, coconut, wafer, chocolate, hint of catering chocolate. Taste is ash, coconut, woody, slight sour note, leading to a sweet milk chocolate finish.
The heavy opening ash notes, stop it being to cloying. But it's not very nice.
