500ml bottle. Poured a clear golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is malt, yeast, light citrus. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a light, malt, yeasty, herbal, light mineral, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Dark yellow colour with lasting head. Quite full bodied. Good balance of slightly sweet pale malts and slightly fruity and floral hop notes.

Bottle from Darts Farm near Topsham, Devon. Pours clear amber with a slim off-white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, nutty hints. Light to moderate sweet with low bitterness, caramel & hedgerow fruits. Moderate body with light carbonation.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth Pre-GBBF 2017 tasting - London. Cheers! Pours clear orange with a creamy, white head. The nose holds dough and nips of leaves. Light to medium sweet with more doughy malts, bread, more mild leafy bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly bland finish. So so overall.

Bottle from Darts Farm, near Exeter. Hazy amber-gold with a thin white head. Aroma is lager mixed with a Belgian ale. It's better to drink than sniff - hints of that Belgian yeast banana taste, then sweet spice in a spritzy lemony beer with a little dried apricot in the aftertaste. Light and refreshing. I rather enjoyed this despite the fact that it's not one of my favourite styles.

Bottle from holiday park near Exmouth. Pours amber, not much head. Aroma of caramel, and a strange off-putting boozy fruitcake note which I can't quite but my finger on. Strong malt flavour with some stone fruits, biscuit, honey sweetness. Low carbonation, maybe a little flat. A short-lived dry bitterness in the finish. I'm not sure this is a balanced brew and it doesn't have a moorish quality that makes you want to keep drinking it.

Bottle from Ladram Bay holiday park shop, Budleigh Salterton. Brown with decent white head. Caramel, roasted malts, dark fruit. Taste is similar and quite sweet. Moderate to high carbonation and lightish body. A little watery but quite moorish. More of a brown ale than a standard bitter I think but new to this rating malarkey.
