Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 29/04/09. Took a while to clear, but the beer was a deep amber with a decent, frothy off-white head that left plenty of lacing down the glass. Fruit, slightly grainy aroma with a touch of grassy hop. Flavour started slightly sweetish, with the wheat evident again through the sense of grain. A touch more fruit and then a short, bitter finish. Drinkable - Bollington has got off to a good start.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 23/04/09. Jet back with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of cereal, chocolate and a touch of dark fruit. Flavours of porridge, milk chocolate and roasted malts, before a surprisingly hoppy finish. An English stout that stands out from the crowd in a positive way.
