Bottle shared at the Euston Tap. Brown-black pour with a soft, off-white head. Lovely, rich aroma with cocoa, burnt malts, just nice chocolate. Good, straightahead flavor, lightly roasty, some hard, mineral malts, mild cocoa and burnt tree bark. Light bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Strong, dry roast finish, some cocoa, hard malts, faint leafy and earthy bitterness. Just a super-solid stout here.

Bottle shared at the Euston Tap. Lightly hazy, pale yellow with a foamy white head. Some citrus on the nose, hints of tartness. Nice flavor, moderately sweet, lots of dry hay and straw, mild floral bitters. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry, straw finish, some light sugars. Good stuff. (January 2011, score: 3.4)

Cask at GBBF 2015 - London. Pours clear yellow with a foamy, white head. The nose holds pale bread, biscuits. Light t medium sweet flavour, notes of white bread, a little cereal. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with more biscuity character. Not bad. (August 2015, score: 3.4)

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Bit of yeast on aroma , maybe sulphur. Black in colour and lasting beige head. Bit of milky creaminess. Some roast, but a kind of milkiness to it. I’m not a fan. OK beer, just not for me.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Gold, thin off white head. Bit of urine like aroma on the hops. Very citric, ascetic. Too ascetic for me.
