Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2016. Black with an off-white head. Although there a tropical fruitiness here, the dark malts provide a slightly roasted taste too, which is also evident in its aroma.

Jet black. Quite a grassy aroma and taste. The hoppy, bitter taste is overwhelmed by that awful grassy taste.

Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2016. Light amber in colour. The ginger is dominant and very palatable due to the light tasting texture of the ale, but at the same time feels a little thin.

Clear golden colour. Really strong aroma and flavour of pale malts and wallpaper paste. Also some honey. Strange.

500ml bottle into a UK pint sleeve at home on 1st Jan 2016. Deep ruby hue to the dark brown body, a full but thin head sat on top. Red berries and hedgerow fruits in the nose with a malt base. The taste follows along in the same way, malty, fruity and: a dry feel dominates the palate and a bitterness arrives mid-sip. Decent and flavoursome, enough going on to keep me interested for the whole bottle.
