Description
In a region renowned for delicious local produce and divine taste experiences, Bowness Bay Brewing have been producing a range of hand-crafted traditionally made beers using the famous Lake District water to create the freshest, cleanest beers around.

First brewed March 2012 initially based in Winster, Windermere. The brewery moved to its site in Kendal in Summer 2016, since then expanding several times.

On cask at the Eagle and Child, Staveley. Appearance - golden with a light haze. Generous fluffy head. Nose - lemon and biscuits. Taste - lemon barley water. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture. Fairly balanced finish. Overall - decent.

4/10/2019. Cask at the Wellington, Bedford. Pours pale amber with a lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops, fruit and biscuit. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Bottle from Hawkshead Post Office, Hawkshead. Golden-amber with next to no head. Bitter in style, but with a sweet-malty taste and some berry-fruitiness for it.

Cask. Unsworth’s Yard brewery, Cartmel. Mostly clear gold. Thick, creamy, white head. Nose has sweet grain. Some lemon pith. Yeasty bread. Taste is light sweet, with a lemon rind bitterness. Light body. Fairly thin. Fine carbonation. Moderate bitterness to finish. Ok.

Half-pint, cask at Strawberry Gardens in Fleetwood. Shared with Finn. Upper part lacing, filmy layer, misty late straw coloured body. Inviting smell of ripe lemon. Blended taste of bread, biscuit and ripe citrus. Fruit bitter finish. Pretty nice. (07.02.2019).

9/2/2019. Cask at the Strawberry Gardens, Fleetwood. Pours golden with a small just off-white head. Aroma of citrus, light tropical fruit, hops, malt, hint of pineapple and caramel. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Slight oily texture, soft carbonation.
