Description
In a region renowned for delicious local produce and divine taste experiences, Bowness Bay Brewing have been producing a range of hand-crafted traditionally made beers using the famous Lake District water to create the freshest, cleanest beers around.

First brewed March 2012 initially based in Winster, Windermere. The brewery moved to its site in Kendal in Summer 2016, since then expanding several times.

Bottle from Booths, Kendal. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are bread, malt, hops and has a swet malty finish.

Bottle from Booths, Kendal. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, bitter hops, grass, coffee, licorice and has a nice light bitter finish.

Bottle from Beer Ambleside. Appearance - golden with a nicely proportioned white head. Nose - grassy, flowers, custard. Taste - creamy lemon and light custard again. Palate - creamy and light bodied. Dry, fairly balanced finish. Overall - a solid citizen.

Bottle from Beer Ambleside. Appearance - golden with a thin head that quickly disappears. Nose - corn and pale malt. Taste - lightly sweet malt. Brown bread at the back. Missing a lager hop spice. Palate - light bodied, could be fresher on the finish. Overall - a little sweeter for a Pilsner.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear golden with a short-lived thin white head. Aromas of light corn and malt. Taste is light sweet, slightly grassy. More of a golden ale to my taste.

On cask at Romney's Gastro Pub, Kendal. Appearance - amber to autumnal red. Creamy off white head. Nose - light cakiness with just a hint of red fruit, possibly glace cherry. Taste - more cake. Light sweet spice. A hint of orange zest. Palate - creamy and close to medium bodied. Decent biscuit finish. Overall - good.
