Description
We opened our doors in Brixton in mid 2013 with the aim of teaching Londoners how to make beer. We have expanded operations at this site to offer up to 30 draught lines featuring our commercially available beers, exclusive nano brews and guest beers plus a large stock of cans and bottles to take home. We remain one of the very few venues in London to stock home brewers with hops, malt and yeast.

Bottle at Leightons, thanks to he, 02/09/14. Hazed reddish amber with a moderate light beige covering that dissipates somewhat then retains. Nose is caramel, rich fruit tones, caramel malt, bitter orange, red grapefruit. Taste comprises red berry pangs, rhubarb, light citrics, hint of vanilla, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Decent enough stuff, I’d say this was a lightly hopped ’amber’ trying to escape from the constraints of a ’bitter’ !

An Udder one from LKS at his gazebo in the sky, 02/09/14. Dark chestnut brown with moderate beige spotting and edgework. Nose is earthy roastalage, toffee, spice, brown bread, light chocoalte. Taste comprises dark fruits, bitter roast, lactic rinse, faint cocoa. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair, the only sub par offering from the quintet of their brews we sampled on this evening. Unrefined and for once Fergus isn’t being stingey!
