Ridiculously hazy golden, straw coloured body with a deep and beautiful, almost 90 per cent opaque glowing blonde body, all with a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white and tan head that hovers above the orange-juicy body. Aroma of yeast, bread, citrus fruits, flowers, grass, hay and some nice bittered hops, with a brightness throughout at least in the nose. Medium-bodied; Crisp, citrusey and orangey flavours with a bright bitterness and alpha acid punch along with a good hit of sweetness, mainly from the fruits, along witha bit of alcohol and bread noticeable towards the end, but all goes down fairly easily. Aftertaste is slightly dry, but showing some nice bitterness from the hops, and while definitely being a new school IPA, there is some remnants of older IPA styles with some bitterness, but the juicy, fruity and soft sides of this makes it a nice New England IPA, period. Overall, a pretty well-balanced beer with a bunch of orange and citrusey flavours with a nice range and malt/yeast balance that is well executed! If you like New England IPAs with some other complexity and characteristics, this one is for you! Good to sample this one fresh, for sure! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Columbus Circle), New York on 21-August-2021 for US$5,99, canned on 22-May-2021 with the tagline 'Bootleg Nike' and sampled at my house here in Washington on 23-September-2021.

Very dark brown coloured body with a thick, five to six centimetre tall, microfoamed, deep brown head, sort of like cream on top of a black coffee - this is much darker and deeper across the board than I was expecting. Aroma is deep too, with tons of caramelised sugars, nuts, toffee, grain, oatmeal and woodsie/earthy scents that are deep, but seemingly pungent throughout here. Medium-bodied; Fairly rich malts shine through here with a grainy, toffeey and earthy, dry and nutty finish, all with some noticeable hops, but nothing incredibly bitter or deep - they are there for balance and don't seem to contribute much here. Aftertaste is crisp, very dry, but super malt-focused, especially on the earthy and caramely-side of things with a stronger metallic and dry bitterness on the end, from the hops. Overall, a bit deeper in colour than I was expecting, way stronger in malt and nuttiness than I had hoped for, but all things considered, this isn't a bad 'red IPA' or 'Cascadian Dark', it's just more of a brown ale overall to me. Nice to try from New York and fresh on a sacred day here and in New York, of course. Ridiculously hazy golden and straw coloured body with a beautiful raw honey glow and a deep, ninety per cent opaque body, all under a nice four to five centimetre tall creamy tan head. Aroma of honeysuckle, jasmine, grass, fruity candy, mangoes, papaya and even some pepper - quite strong and complex in the nose - very nice! Medium to Full-bodied; Very rich and meloney maltiness with a lot of syrupy and resinous notes and sweetness up front with a big tropical pungency along with a creamy almost vanilla-y lactose finish that brings out some bitterness from the hops, but they stay relatively insulated, due to the rich malts here. Aftertaste shows a sort of aspartame and fake sugar flavour, with a lot of lactose, vanilla, cream and some honey sweetness, but the hops bringing out tropically notes are very strong - especially at the end. Overall, a nice deep and pungent, milky, creamy IPA with a ton of hops and while a 'new school' IPA, it does have a modicum of bitterness, but this was nice to sample very fresh! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Bread & Honey in New York (8th Ave @ 56th St), New York on 22-August-2021 for US$6,49 sampled at my house here in Washington on 03-September-2021.
