Bottle from Blue Glass, Bedford. Dark gold, almost clear. Bit of creamy white head. Orange peel and harsh grain on the aroma. Taste is bittersweet, with naked malt flavour and a touch of sulphurous astringency. Long bitter malty finish. Not all that great but drinkable.

Gravity cask at the Old Transporter Ale House. Light to mid brown. Clear but not very lively. Bready woody nutty aroma with a floral hint. Bittersweet taste, there are some nice hops although this is not an IPA. Finish is quite astringent. A competent bitter.
