Description
Block Brewery will soon be opening in the cellar of The Wenlock Arms in 2016. Our goal is to provide a superior product using the finest quality ingredients that offer tremendous value for our customers.

Hannah has spent over 15 years in the hospitality industry and is passionate about beer, excellent customer service with a focus on being part of the community. Eugene has spent 25 years as an engineer, is also passionate about beer and is putting all of those skills to work by running a brewery. Together we will provide a welcoming community focussed environment in which to enjoy our fine beer products.

Cask (gravity) @ 36th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2019 - Day 1 at 🇬🇧 The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.

[ As Block Wenlock Imperial Stout ].
ABV: 8.8%. Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, dark malt, dark fruit, raisin, plum, prunes, tobacco touch. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark fruit, dark malt, raisin, roasted, chocolate, tobacco, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask at Pigs Ear 2019 - London. Pours black-brown with a bubbly, tan head. Moderately sweet, a bit old-school with a lot of ashy bitterness, strong roast, bitter dark chocolate. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately harsh on the finsh, more strong dry ashy roast, hearty baking cocoa. Good one.

Cask at Pigs Ear ‘19, day one, 03/12/19. Black with a decent tan cap. Nose is earthy, meaty, umami, fruit cake, toffee. Taste comprises chocolate, dates, stewed fruits, light spice, dark malts, mellow roast, treacle toffee. Full bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a rising kiss of alcohol. Ok old skool leaning no frills impy.

Cask gravity at Pigs Ear 2019. Black beer. Molasses oily spicy bit of heat. Malty dark chocolate, not subtle. Ok though. Just a little raw

Cask at pigs ear 2019. A nutty, waxed, brown roast, some jammy fruits,. Oily hey back coloured pour with no head. Flavour is medium sweet jammy fruits, oily black malts woody roast, meaty. Palate is oily, so eet, sticky sugars. Decent.

Cask gravity at the Pig's ear beer festival 05/12/2017. An opaque black brown coloured pour with a light beige head. Aroma is spicy, woody, roast barley, cinnamon, Flavour is composed of harsh woody roast, jammy fruit, blackened burnt chocolate, burnt cake. Palates is semi swet, bitter, moderate condition. ok. Little harsh

Cask gravity at the pigs ear beer festival 2018. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is woody, dried fruit, meaty roast, liquorice. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, salty roast, meat, apple, liquorice. Palate is medium sweet, oily, ok condition. Sweet and sticky.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2018, day one, 04/12/18. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is tangy dark fruits, toffee, bitter roast, fruit slice. Taste comprises liquorice, fruit cake, charr, raisens, light spice. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, drying close with a light boost. Decent enough Stout.
