One day, Dave Grant and David McHardy had have enough of their jobs at an oil and gas company. They decided to follow their shared passion and establish a brewery. Under the name Fierce Beer they brew a selection of quirky beers, which have already collected the necessary prices in a short time.

Bottle @ home. Great chocolate and roasty smell. Tastes chocolate and roasty tpo, but is a bit too sugary sweet. Medium body, soft carbo.

Bottle originally thanks to Dave. It pours cloudy golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, salted lemon, lemongrass, minerals and some cheesecake. The taste is dry, crisp, bitter, salted lemon, grapefruit, minerals, grass, straw, earthy pine, and pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Crisp and very drinkable. Decent stuff.

On keg at the Red Squirrel. Appearance - hazy golden with a decent head. Nose - tropical and citrus. Taste - oranges and apricots. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - luscious.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherd’s Bush, London.
Dark brown, hazy body, with a medium, dense, lacing, dark beige head.
Aroma of dark bread, cocoa, coffee, nuts, toast, dark chocolate, some dark berries.
Wonderful, smooth taste with loads of wild berries, milk chocolate, cocoa, nuts, dark bread, coffee, some tropical fruits, slight liquorice.
Mefium, creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes roasty-fruity, with chocolate, cocoa, tropical fruits, some coffee, some dark bread.

Delicious! The nose is typical for a Porter, with smooth roasty notes, but also underlying fruit notes. Taste is quite surprising, with lots of lovely wild fruits, combined with chocolate and roast notes. Sounds like a Black IPA, but it’s something else. Very characterful and accomplished stuff.

Bottle at home, orange beer, small head. Aroma is citrus, tropical fruit. Taste is the same, quite some passion fruit, sweet, bitter and some sourness. Nice one.

25th Oct 2016: keg half-pint in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Hazy golden orange pour, lasting white crown. Highly carbonated with hops to spare. Liked the crisp bitterness and piney flavour blending with the citrus notes. Decent.

Bottle shared by Erwin Van Moll @ Brewpub Van Moll. Opaque pitch black color, average sized brown head. Aroma is malts, some coffee, sand and something weird. Flavor is better, malts, dark malts, softly coffee and earthy malt bitters. Decent body and carbonation. But why is this a sweet stout when the brewer clearly says it’s a porter?

On tap @ BrewDog, Soho. This one has a deeper dark looking body. Brownish, almost on the border of Cola dark. On the top there's a nice medium sized heavy lacing beige top. It smells quite a lot. Is it tea? Something sweet also in here. Yeah, quite fruity sweet, yet a hint of something sour. Hibiscus perhaps? Raspberries? It has a nice raspberry-ish sourness in the taste also. Porter-ish also, lots or red berries and blackcurrants. It's a little chocolate sweet also. Mild oily in the mouth and it's just above average on the carbonation. Keg @ Chez Sophie. Pours hazy gold, white head. Aroma is bright hoppy citrus. Palate is crisp and refreshing with a snappy hop bitterness. Great APA.
