Keg at BD CLJ, 27/10/14. Light black with a decent tan covering. Nose is light pine, tangerine, faint smoke, earthy hops, bitter tropicana. Taste comprises skunky hops, nice pine licks, red grapefruit, light charr. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a dank hop linger and a pine jacket. Solid CDA, very sessionable for the style.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. 3%. Bought this cheap, as it was past its BBD. Murky gold. Film of sticky, white head. Grassy hop. Some fusty orange. A little peach, too. Taste is a little earthy, and dry. Bitterness at the back end. Decent palate for the ABV. Finishes pithy bitter. Pretty tasty stuff.

Keg at Brewdog Edinburgh. Pours dark brown, thin off-white head. Aromas of toffee, citrus, light banana. Taste is more fruity citrus, caramel. Big bitterness at the end. OK.

Cask at the Earl of Essex - London. Meh. Pours clear gold with a soft, white foam head. It’s watery with moderate bitterness. It’s musty. There’s residual back-of-tongue bitterness that’s quite unpleasant. Wood, grass. Minimal sweetness for balance. Not much flavor. Plenty of musty off-notes. Harsh lingering bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Not great. Not at all enjoyable.
Nicely hopped.

Keg at Brewdog Shepard?s bush. Murky dark brown coloured pour with a lasting loose cream coloured pour. Aroma is nice a punchy floral lemon citrus and pollen with just a hint of dark roast. Flavour is composed of doughy wheat, slightly ashy roast and nice floral lemon hop and some nelson sauvin like hop. Palate is slightly thin, doughy on the tongue and spritzy carbonation. Lingering honey and pollen. Bit of a cross styles beer but black IPA seems the most appropriate.
