Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Mitch! Pours unclear honey-gold with a bubbly, white head. Moderately sweet, with light tang, lemon, pale bread. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Subtle warmth in the finish, with notes of ripe citrus, mellow citric tang. OK stuff overall.

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Very dark with a creamy off-white head. It's very sweet with a parma violet type taste, meaning there's nothing too roasted here.

Hazy and slightly dirty looking gold beer, small off white head. Palate is light and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, mildly sweet. Parma Violets come through loud and clear, but not that sweet, in fact the citric hop backdrop provides a decent dose of bitterness. More Violets on the back end. Good fun.

Cask. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Clear, deep chestnut brown. Loose beige bubbles, that stay the course. Nose has raspberry ruffle chocolate. Booze soaked fruit. Whisky dregs. Nutty chocolate truffle. Fruity and chocolatey, but also a little phenolic and heady. Taste is sweet, mostly, with a fruity, boozy bitterness. Medium body. Quite boozy. Low carbonation. Light, vinous bitterness to finish.
