Description
Daarin gaan we dan ook weer “all the way”.

Bottle at a friend’s place. Aroma is fruity hops, a surprising amount of pine resin, tropical fruits, sweetish malt, soft caramel, mango, orange. Flavour is moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Wow, did not expect such a good beer, lovely fruity piney hops and a bittersweet flavour. Excellent.

From tap at 8e Pint Utrechtse Bierbrouwers Festival. Peated barrel aroma with notes of green apples, roasted malt, some iodine, chocolate, and wood. Flavour is medium sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Fairly rough barrel aging with some unpleasant flavours typical of inexperienced Dutch breweries.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Grassy hoppy aroma with zesty citrus, lemon, herbal and light oniony hops. Flavour is light sweet with a bit of sharp bitterness, I get some hopburn. Body is light. Crisp and refreshing, just a little rough around the edges.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is vanilla, marshmallow, cocoa, caramel, toffee, fudge, dark malt, candy, lightly roast. Flavour is liquid candy store sweetness with a light bitterness. Body is medium with a little creamy lactose, drinks way below the abv. More body would have helped make the sweetness more palatable. I'm sure this is popular with the hip crowd, but it's a bit much for me.

From tap at Café Marktzicht, Amersfoort. They weren't kidding with the name. Shitloads of beany coffee, mocha, chocolate. Espresso aroma. Heavy with that 10%, you can taste it a bit. Medium to full body. Bittersweet flavour, roasty, heavy coffee motherf*cker.
