Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre Liverpool. Bit toffee sweet for me. Not great condition and quite malty syrupy. Bit dull.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 3/11/10. Slightly hazy gold with a decent white head. Yeasty aroma with some nettles and apricots. Sweetish, malty flavour with more fruit, a touch of spice and moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask (handpump) @ NWAF 10, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.[ As Sandstone Sandstone Edge ] Clear medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, light to moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, citrus. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, nutty, caramel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Cask. Pours an almost clear dark amber with an off-white head. Nutty nose. Medium-bodied, nuts and very sweet caramel. No real bitterness. A somewhat sticky ESB. 200110

Cask at Smithfield Hotel, Manchester. A hazy amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as a good deal of butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, butterscotch and a good deal of coffee, leading to a dry finish where the notes of butterscotch and coffee lingers. The body is light. Weird.

Cask @ Smithfield Hotel, Manchester M4. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma with some nutty hints. Roasted malty caramel flavor with some nutty hints. Has a roasted malty caramel finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Cask (gravity) @ Smithfield Hotel, 37 Swan St, Manchester, England M4 5JZ.Clear medium amber orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heay malty, roasted, caramel, nutty, wood, smoke notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20090121]

Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath 3/01/09. Deep gold with a slight white head. Sweetish malt aroma with some hay and a touch of grassy hop. Flavour was much the same, with some summer fruits and a decent bitter finish. An ok effort from a new brewery.
