Bottle. Clear brown with a beige head. Aroma of caramel, grass, mild spices. Sweet with caramel, some nuts, modest spicy bitterness that hangs around a bit. Not much life in the mouthfeel. Not my sort of thing but OK.

Tap. Hazy orange/ amber with a small white head. Aroma has citrus, gooseberries, vanilla, some caramel and pine. Taste is mildly sweet, but it’s rather empty in the malt department. Nectarines, gooseberries and passionfruit hop flavours are quite nice. Thinnish body, brief finish with modest bitterness. OK. [3.1]Guess that had been on awhile. Bottle. Much sharper citrus aroma, perhaps more tropical fruit too. Shows up - with a little pine - in the taste too. If anything, accentuates the emptiness of the malt side.

Bottle. Pale gold with a small white head that fades to a coat. Gentle aroma of pears, grass, a little lemon. A little watery. Mild taste has pears, slight nuts and slighter biscuit. Finish is drying with little bitterness. A little astringent from the bubbles. Pleasant summery quaffer.

Clearly I had a much different experience with this beer than others did. Pale golden color. The nose is alive with tropical fruit, peaches and cream. Very hoppy and refreshing. Light bodied, hop accented a touch sweet, but just the right amount with the fruitiness. Lingering subtle bitterness. Highly refreshing. Wow, really surprised me. Had with a group of others and everyone was pretty impressed.

From a 330ml bottle on 2/11/2010. This one looks the goods, from the classy label through to the cloudy appearance, with yeasty goodness evident in the glass. But it’s all downhill from there. There’s not much of an aroma to it, and what is there is not great - mostly sulphur and a little bit of fruit. Taste wise, there’s just a mild hint of apple and a little honeyed sweetness, and a very gentle hop finish. Think of a Cooper’s Sparkling at about quarter strength. A weak and bland effort.

Bottle. Straw coulour, very little head. Little aroma, maybe a slight fruitiness; possibly lemons. Light body, medium carbonation. Flavour has a crisp tangy but light start which gives way to a light maltiness, with some very subtle but interesting notes which save it from boring blandness. No bitterness. Overall it is crisp and light with some redeeming nice, but very subtle, flavours.

Pours pale gold with a large fading head. Not much of note on the nose, a fair bit of sweet clean malt with some graininess, but little in the way of hops, just a slight grassy note.Grainy malt is more prominent on tasting, quite sweet with some grassy noble hops. Weak, boring bitterness in the finish.Somewhat watery body, and the carbonation should be higher.

330 ml bottle courtesy of alagnak. Best after 3/12/08 stamped on the bottle. Haven’t heard that one before. Pour is hazed golden copper with a one inch off white head. Some nice carbonation swirls around in the glass on the pour. Aroma of faint tangerine citrus, resin and eathy malt. Mild mineral and a very distant white pepper yeast note. Pretty dull nose. Taste is the nose, though the mineral and resin earthy malt is up front. Some bitter citrus tangerine is buried behind that. The spice yeast of the nose is evident in the flinty dry finish. Light to medium bodied, lowish carbonation, decent enough drinker though a bit bland. As it warmed, the palate really thinned out, to the point of being watery. I am sure this beer is more interesting fresh. Thanks for grabbing this and sending it to me Chris, always up for trying relatively unknown beers.
