Keg at BrewDog Edinburgh. Black body with a thin tan head. Faint lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, ash and toasted coconut. Flavour of chocolate ice-cream and nuts. Thin to medium body with a creamy texture. Soft fizz. A solid example of the style. My favourite North Brewing beer so far.

Cask @ Piccadilly Tap, Manchester. Very dark reddish-brown with a small bubbly head. Has a milky aroma, milky-sweet roasted malt taste. Strongish but inoffensive.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Black with a creamy off-white head. Milky-smoothness is its greatest character, with inoffensive dark malts alongside some roasted malts. Easy-drinking.
