Tap @ True North Bar, Stavanger. Black body with a small, dense beige head. Aroma is smooth roasted, dark malt, hint of vanilla and caramel. Flavor is a little bit of disappointment based on the aroma, roasted dark malt, vanilla, coffee and moderate bitterness, but it feels a bit raw and almost slightly acidic bitter in the aftertaste. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. By all means a really fine stout, but something is missing to make it a top notch one.

Can. Black body with a small, stable beige head. Nice and strong aroma of dark malt, dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Flavor is quite sweet, but still in balance with the bitterness and alcohol. Dark malt, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, bitter hops and warming alcohol. Fine body and long lasting pleasant aftertaste. Great one.

Can. Unclear golden body with a big, creamy, white head. Nice, strong aroma of tropical fruit, pineapple and some cat pee. Flavor is nice and fruit as well with tropical fruit, pineapple, citric zest, malty sweetness and quite bitter. Medium body with a tropical fruit bitter aftertaste. Nice hop driven IPA somewhere between classic DIPA and modern IPA.

Tap @ True North Bar, Stavanger. Milky hazy pale golden/yellow body with a small, lacing white head. Rather typical kettle sour aroma, acidic, lemon, yogurt and slightly mineral. Flavor is OK fruity acidic, lemon, berries, sour fruit in general and citric zest. Medium body with a fresh, acidic aftertaste. Feels a bit simple, but its nice and refreshing.

Tap @ True North Bar, Stavanger. Unclear pinkish orange body with a small, dense white head. Aroma of ripe fruit, acidic berries and fruit candy. Flavor has sour raspberries, some artificial fruit candy, lactic and hint of pale malt. Medium body and aftertaste in the same direction as the rest of the flavor. Well, eh kinda decent but not really much of interest, pretty average withing the light acidic fruity beer style.

Tap @ True North Bar, Stavanger. Black body with a moderate sized, lacing, beige head. Nice aroma of dark malt, caramel and hint of coconuts. Flavor is rather sweet, dark malt, some coconut, coffee, dry fruit. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. Very nice, even if it’s a bit on the sweeter side for my liking.

Tap @ Drugie DNO, Warsaw May 2018. Hazy golden body with a white head. Aroma and taste is very fruity with focus on the tropical but also citric and some dry fruit. Flavor has also sweet malt and good bitterness. Balanced body and long lasting fruity bitter aftertaste. Quite a classic IPA with a solid dose of fruity hops. Nice and refreshing.

Can at home. Opaque golden pour with a thin head. The beer is a coffee sour, and so it’s got notes of coffee and a clean, lactic sourness. So far nothing surprising here, but the coffee character is interesting enough to look further into. On the nose it’s fruity, lightly chocolatey that paird nicely with the citrus zest. Punchy yet layered. In the taste it’s fruity and citric, initially I thought it was the coffee but I had to realise it has to be hops. The sour base, the hops and the coffee work extremely well together, it’s a simple beer but also nuanced and layered at the same time somehow, I quite dig it.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy brownish black pour with a fast fading beige head; aroma of charred grains; dry and thin in the mouth with a milky feeling and some burnt toast; then a dry finish with some bitter chocolate. Rather flat in appearance and taste.
