Can 47, 3 cl. Pours kinda thick and syrupy black with a small and lacing, light brown head. Slight fatty curtains. Rich, roasty nose, some smokiness, some licorice and a hint of vanilla. Rich and potent body, sweet, fat roasty malts with plenty of licorice and a distinct smoky note. Warming finish. Straight and delicious old school Stout. 270126

Can 47,3 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze and a rich and frothy, lacing white head. Super fruity tropical hop accents. Medium body, soft and smooth mouthfeel, lightly sweet fruitiness with hardly any bitterness and all. Not super hazy but delicious nonetheless. 270126

Can 47,3 cl. Pours a clear yellow with a small, white head. Lactic, dusty slightly lemony aroma. Light body, tart fruitiness and then a very odd gluey note that really spoils it for me. No thanks. 270126

Can 47,3 cl. Pours a clear golden with a lacing, white head. Biscuity nose, piney hop acents. Solid body, super fruity with tropical hops, biscuity and caramelly with a solid finishing bitterness. Archtype US old school - lovely! 270126

Notes from October 2012 $8.95 for a 64oz growler from New Beer. Put back that $12 bomber of barrel aged baloney kiddo. Dirty yellow garnet body. Thin, frothy, lasting, white lace. Smells of Juicy Fruit gum & grass. Mild pine, bigger citrus rind. Bit of butter. Taste is heavy on yellow grapefruit juice, bittersweet, never getting too acidic. Toasty/textured malt middle. Muted pepper. Lingering rind. Not totally crazy about hoppy rye beers. Moderate body, mellow carbonation. Well integrated alcohol. Demi sec. I would of enjoyed a bigger amount of rye, but I guess I'll just have to wait & see if Paul ever reproduces his smoked roggen to get my fix. :)
