Cask @ Trades Club, Hebden Bridge. Almost black with a creamy off-white head. A touch milky, and subdued by its strength creating a small sweetness rather than any roasted malts, although some are just about evident in its aroma.

Craft 100 at Craft Clapham. Keg.. Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is surprisingly light with good fine crispness. Light malts, semi sweet. Nice tangy pineapple with lesser orange and hop spice. A smooth floral streak runs throughout. Light finish. A super drinkable golden barleywine. Lovely. 3.9

Craft Clerkenwell. Keg. A couple of halfs, because this is a great beer. The grape really shines here, quite intense and yes it is a little winey. Joining the party are kiwi, elderflower and gooseberry. It’s a lovely combo and the beer is stupid drinkable because of it, that and the very good masking of the big abv. A delight.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell on 17th September 2014. Clear gold with vanishing off-white non-lacing foam ring. Pungent aroma with yeasts and tart citrus. Tangerine in-mouth with sweet malts, roasty touches and an increasingly bitter finish. Light mouthfeel but a fair amount of body.

Plenty of bitter hoppiness in-mouth, with biscuit malt undertone and savoury touch. An intense bitter finish. Engaging bodiful texture. A fine, well-crafted pale ale.
