Cask at the brewpub. It pours clear golden-amber with a small white head. The nose citrussy, cereal, honey, grain, oat and leather. The taste is bitter, wood, cereal, leather, cereal, leaf, grass and grain with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and slightly oily mouth-feel. Alright for a cask IPA, but didn’t blow me away. Alright.

Cask at the brewpub - Angel, London. Pours red-brown with a creamy, off-white head. Nice cocoa in the nose, moderate roast, toasty malts. Light to medium sweet with nice baking cocoa, some milk chocolate, earth, mild hard water minerality. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Great balance on the finish with further dry, roasty malts, some earthy bitterness, cocoa, roast, burnt pine. Very solid.
