375ml dark green bottle, shared with Finn at Hops & Barley. Dense, bubbly, fawn-coloured head with fine retention. Deep black body. Mid-sweet malty aromas of oak and chocolate. Dark and black, mid-sweet, malty flavours joined by oak and earth on a backbone of bourbon. Rounded and lingering aftertaste of mid-sweet malts with the bourbon touch. Well bodied. Tasty (Berlin 14.01.2018).

Poured from a dark green 375ml bottle at Hops & Barley. Spotty lacing from a huge fawn coloured head. Near black in the glass, just a rustic tint to it. Aroma of wood, rum, and liquorice. Similar taste of rum, oak, liquorice, and chocolate malts. Warming ending, semi-sweet with the rum part lingering on. Fine depth. Nice. Shared with Finn. (Berlin 14.01.2018).

300ml draught, shared with Finn at Hops & Barley. Off-white bubbly head, spotty lacing, cloudy amber body. Ripe orange on the nose, semi sweet. Orange flavours together with earthy malts and a backdrop of citrus peels with decent bitterness. Fine depth. Pleasant stuff. (Berlin 14.01.2018).

Seems to have gain new life. Finn and I had this one as Abbey Ale, 6. 3 % at the brewpub, 300ml draught. Pearl white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Bright copper coloured body. Rather restrained aroma of candy sweet malts. Caramel malty flavours, hints of bread, and yeast. Mid-sweet brown malty ending. Medium bodied. Soft in the mouth. Fair enough. (Berlin 14.01.2018).
