Description
Lost and Grounded Brewers is a brewery in Bristol, UK, established in July 2016. We are particularly fascinated by the precision of German brewing and the idiosyncratic nature of Belgian beers, and we chose the brewhouse of our dreams that could help us make these wonders of fermentation.
We are a Living Wage employer. More information about the Living Wage Foundation can be found here: livingwage.org.uk

Bottle bought at Tilquin English Beer Festival 2018. Shared with Anke. Best before: 17/1/19.
Pours hazy ochre with a lasting, big, frothy, white head; some lacing. Fresh aroma of grapefruit, citrus, carambola, tangerine peel, spices, bready malt, some earth & wheat. Light citric sour onset, hint of tropical fruits, malty, bready & yeasty middle, all the while developing a heavy hoppy bitterness. Very dry, hoppy finish, a bit wheaty & bready, almost an iron-like drying effect with hints of straw & grass. Medium body, thin/slick texture, soft carbonation. A sunny brew indeed, but could have been a tad less drying.

Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Drukket på Bergstua. Varm gylden. Nesten klar. Lavt tett skum som daler raskt. Bra aroma av mørke frukter & krydder. Smaken banan krydder. Syrlig & tørr etter hvert. Litt bunnfall igjen på flaska.

Bottle from Better Foods, Bristol. Golden in colour, with a slight haze and billowy white head. Aroma of floral hops, lemons and yeasty grains. Flavour had white bread, tangerine and peach fruit, some barnyard character and led to a dryish finish. A pleasant saison.

Bottle from Better Foods, Bristol. Chestnut in colour, with a slight hazy and frothy, off-white, head that left plenty of lacing down the glass. Aroma of red berries, caramel, toasty malts and a touch of citrus hop. Flavour had rich malts, more sweet fruits and a hint of earthiness, before a moderately dry finish. Enjoyable.
