Description
Lost and Grounded Brewers is a brewery in Bristol, UK, established in July 2016. We are particularly fascinated by the precision of German brewing and the idiosyncratic nature of Belgian beers, and we chose the brewhouse of our dreams that could help us make these wonders of fermentation.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas are grassy hops, light floral, light pale malt. Taste is more of the same. Clean finish.

Bottle at home in London. Picked up at Clapton Craft. Pours clear yellow-gold, effervescent, with a frothy, white head. Mellow floral hops in the nose, some crispy biscuits, nips of cereal. Lightly sweet, with just enough grassy bitterness, more clean biscuity sugars, some straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish with refreshing grassy bitterness, further biscuits, a little lemon rind, pale bread. This is an excellent lager. Very surprised by the ratings - perhaps this is beer is better or of bottle? Or just the usual ’lager discount’ in action? Anyway, the beer in front of me is great.

Keg @ Hereford Beer House. Pours a misty gold, nice white head. Soft witbier aromatics on the nose. Taste is smooth with full-flavoured wit spice, very yeasty with some exotic nods. Very nice.

Keg at Beerd, Oxford, Wednesday 25th January 2017 prior to The Blue Aeroplanes gig at The Cellar, Oxford. Pours warm reddy, good clarity, white head atop. Fruity, tangy and moderately hoppy with a steady bitterness. Enjoyed this, I came back later and had another half. My first from this brewery and not bad at all. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Can from Vino Wines. Clear amber/brown body with a medium off-white head that holds well. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of digestive biscuit, nuts and toast. Flavour of stewed tea, black pepper, earth and minerals. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A nourishing beer that engages the brain. It’s crisp and less sweet than I expected.
