On keg at Ushers. Appearance - hazy golden amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - coffee bean. Taste - again coffee bean but with a bit of a citrus zip. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - dare i say it, it reminds me of the mikkeller coffee pale.

On keg at Ushers. Appearance - cloudy golden with a decent head. Nose - getting lime and something definitely herbaceous but not sure I’d know it was mint. Pungent green notes all round, a bit like lime pickle. Taste - banana, lime and light spice that warms the mouth. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - this is challenging but it does engage the brain. Interesting and challenging.

On keg at Ushers. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate and coffee. Sweetness like tiramisu. Taste - nuts, toffee and dark chocolate. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry nutty finish. Overall - I would’ve struggled to spot the Belgian yeast in this. A session strength Dubbel I suppose. It broadly falls into a Mild style apart from that.

On keg at Ushers. Appearance - hazy golden with a decent head. Nose - lemon and yeast. General yoghurt notes. Grassy floral. Taste - more grassy lemon, lemon herbs even. Dry citrus yoghurt at the back. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - wasn’t sure about the nose, but it delivered pretty well on the taste.

Keg at Andrew Usher’s. Black body with a medium beige head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of Twiglets, coffee and blueberries. Flavour of ash, brambles, plum and Marmite. Medium to full body with a chewy mouthfeel. Light fizz. Rich and flavoursome. The best Andrew Usher’s beer I’ve tried.
