Pours an oily pitch black colour and a light brown head with little retention. Aroma's of dark fruits, molasses, wood, moss. Retronasal it's sweetish, lactose, light sour, moldy wood and moss. Flavour is sweet, milk chocolate, with a touch of sour. Above medium bodied. Long finish, roasted, ashy, light bitter. Not much balance, but quite enjoyable.

From an old bottle, 2013, cellar find. Aged nicely! Malts, madeira and raisins. Old saison-like notes. For sure not as intended, but really nice to drink! Butcher's Tears remains a great and likeable brewery.

Fairly hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma of yeast, veggies, herbs and citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
