Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford. Pours โ€œbitter brownโ€ with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. A gentle aroma has hints of malts, hops and oranges. In the mouth it is slightly sweet and fruity with a smooth creamy texture. Flavours are malts and traditional hops with hints of marmalade and berry fruits coming later. A little dryness in the finish. This is a decent old school bitter.

Cardiff Mini-break Beer#45. Last one in Cardiff. Clear golden with a glow, but a bit of a drab cask ale. It has an easy enough texture, but there's not much to said about its bitter-sweet notes.
