Bottle shared at the ’Beers of London’ Tasting MkII, Bespin Cloud City - Hyde Park zone, thanks to KennyBob 11/02/15. Bottle #544. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate tan covering that clears to a swirl/edgework. Nose is big peated malt, Bandaid, smoke, toffee, dark fruit, malt. Taste comprises toffee, mineral notes, brown sugar, caramel, spice, sweet tones, lighter peat effect than on the aroma but still well evident. Medium + body, fine carbonatin, semi drying close. Ok peated impy, hides the ABV well but lacks depth.

Bottle 500ml. clear glass. [ As Bath Bounders Still Cider ].Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate apple. tart apples, sweet apples, sugary. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light light acidic with a average duration, sugary apples, white sugar, apples, dry. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [20150117]

Bitterish wood and dark chocolate. The TCP is under control here. Light dry finish with TCP lingering on. Not bad for a peated Impy and it hides the abv well.

Bottle shared at Leightons pad. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. Brown / caramel coloured pour with a small halo of tan head. Aroma is small whisky, booze, soft roast, little choc,. Flavour is composed of nice sweet, vanilla oak, caramel, smooth whisky, little oak and nice dried raisin fruits in the background. Lingering touch of liquorice. Palate is medium full, moderate carbonation, semi sweet. Lingering cocoa, vanilla, oak. Really smooth.

Bottle shared at Leightons pad. Many Thanks to Kenny for this one. Dark brown caramel coloured pour with a fleeting tan head. Aroma is dried fruits, nutty caramel, whisky, hot alcohol. Flavour is composed of smooth nutty, caramel, whisky, oak, dried fruits, Tangy fruits and sherry notes. Palate is medium full bodied and smooth on the tongue, highish carbonation.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s pad. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. Dark brown reddy coloured pour with a fleeting mid tan head. Aroma is big peaty whisky, tcp, caramel, smoky phenols, tcp. Flavour is composed nutty caramel, salty umami salty, little apple, raisin and soft roast. Plenty of cake malts. Palate is semi viscous, moderate carbonation, sweet sweet, little salty on the tongue. Lingering charred wood. Ok.
