Taste - Caramel, creamy quite sweet toffee malts, smooth
Palate - soft carb, thin to medium body, creamy texture. Finish - very light bitter hops with very long lingering sweet toffee
Overall - Above average bitter with that long sweet toffee linger

Cask at Charlie Hall (JDW) part of Autumn 2012 Beer Festival; Pours hazy straw colour, spicy grassy flavour, a small hint of banana. Quite good!

On tap at Dean Swift. Pours a clear pale yellow gold with a white head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a rich apple note with some leaves and a good amount of roast. Flavor starts sweet but moves to a note of leaves with a finish of hay and roasted apple.

Bottle. Pours a pale amber color with a white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with weak hints of hops. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

500ml bottle, many thanks to Finn. Bubbly, fawn-coloured head to a deep, dark brown coloured body. A few spots to the glassware. Inviting aroma of confectionery malts added by a nice roastiness. Dark chocolate flavour, rather creamy, supported by liquorice and herbal hops. Mid-dry, chocolate bitterness to the ending. Easy to drink, but not diluted in anyway. Well made stout (Tromsø, 17.10.2012).

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 30/09/12. Clear golden with a thin white head. Caramel malts, hops and fruit tones on the nose. Tangy fruit in the taste, light hops. Medium mody with moderate carbonation leading to a bitter finish. Adequate bitter.

(Keg@Rake Bar’s Bristol Beer Festival) Pours dark brown with a tan head. Malty, licorice and hints of coffee/chocolate, very nice mouthfeel. Good overall.

Dark for a bitter, but the flavor is right in the zone.Pours reddish/brown with creamy head, and nice coffee bitterness.Mouthfeel is just right, not watery. Listed on the label as a dark bitter, this is very pleasant....

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramle, spicy, ginger. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet spicy, ginger. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Not bad just i do not fancy gingery beers ;-( [20120813]
