Bottle from Waitrose. Pours dark amber with a 3 finger foamy beige head. Swear there’s a bit of bacon in this. Med+ body. Flavor is sweet dark malt with some darkish fruit, and to me a touch of smoky bacon. With time it finally develops some bitter, so it’s arguably balanced. A smoky, fruity beer. Passing strange.

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours golden amber with a slight off-white head. Aroma is floral over some sort of deeper spicy? thing. Flavor is malty and hinting oak astringency. It’s nicely bitter. Gets quite floral as things come along. Very flavorul for a "light" ale.

50cl bottle. Poured almost black in color with a thin white head. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee notes. Thin body. Flavor is roasted malt and some chocolate notes. Dry finish. OK stout.

Medium very white head. Slightly hazy yellow body with light carbonation. Earthy mineraly herbal aroma with vaguely fruity notes. Dry-sweetish mineraly resiny strawy taste with earthy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish honey grapes and spice aftertaste with herbal strawy notes. Nice, well balanced, and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, beermerchants.com.)

Medium coarseish offwhite head. Brown body with light carbonation. Earthy caramelly prunes aroma with fruity notes. Dry-sweet fruity caramelly earthy taste with roasty spicy cinnamon notes. Smooth, soft mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dryish roasty spicy buttery aftertaste with earthy resiny notes. Raisins, honey, and chocolate also show up. Lovely balance and drinkability. Medium beige head. Nearly opaque black body goes deep dark red at edges. Roasty grainy prunes aroma with soy sauce notes. Dry-sweetish earthy chocolatey taste is very mild. Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry roasty mineraly spicy aftertaste with earthy notes. Delicate and rather elegant. Very nice and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle from BeerMerchants.)

Cask handpull The Drum JDW Leyton. Deep amber with slight haze. Thin lasting beige head. Rich sweet malty fruity aroma. Fullish in mouth with some dryness and lots of rich malty fruit. Pleasant to have a Bath beer without diacetyl. Tasty ESB. Reminds me of what Abbot Ale used to taste like. Tasty and full.

Bottled (from a K-Market in Pori). Quite much pitch black colour, small head. Aroma is roasted malts, some dark fruits, mild coffee and some wooden notes. Flavour is roasted malts, dark fruits, some mild notes of wood and mild notes of coffee.
