Description
Two years of cuckoo brewing at a friends brewery (thank you Mr. Bob) and sales in London led to two big life changes; Time to find a home for Inkspot.

Finding a barn sheltered within the Rookery garden, a conservation area on Streatham Common, was incredible. Overwhelming local support for the brewery project led to planning permission being granted & three years of work transforming a tired barn into a working brewery.

The Rookery is such a local treasure, every step of the project had to be carefully considered & sympathetically delivered. It was no easy task, but we have finally completed and Inkspot beer is in the tanks.

Bottle at home. Bought at BOB, Sydenham. Virtually no aroma, a hint of dough and sourness. Medium Amber. No head. Flat. Medium bitter. Grows in strength and in to the long dry finish, becoming astringent. Light bodied, an oilyness. Carbonation in the finish. Wouldn’t describe it as ’crisp’. Not overly keen on it.

Bottle, received as an extra, in a trade with Leighton. He’s a generous lad, that lad. Cloudy gold. Huge, suspect, off white head. There is a sourness on the nose, too. Some biscuit malts, at a push. Taste is tart, and bitter. Lots of fizz. Finishes tart and bitter. I’d hope this is infected, because if not, it’s a pretty grim do.
