Description
Trillium Brewing Company was founded by JC and Esther Tetreault, a young dumb couple in love, planning their wedding and dreaming about how they would spend their lives together. The desire to build a brewery was about more than just making beer, it was about creating a way of life and building a community with which to share experiences. A beer geek and botany nerd, JC chose the trillium flower to represent what we strive to bring to our beer and our lives: beauty, strength, simplicity, and balance. We operate a brewery and taproom in Canton, MA as well as a full service restaurant and brewery in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. We also operate seasonal pop-up beer gardens around the city of Boston under the Trillium Garden project.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: milky hazy yellow color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which settled fairly quick and didn't leave any lace
Aroma: grapefruity, white grapes, subtle lime to lemony hop notes with a light biscuity malt backbone
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a sweet to bittersweet juicy vibe and adds in an ever so slight hint of mixed berries (not sure why I didn't smell this, eh who knows). Finishes very clean with the white grapey part and lime to lemony tone
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being sessionable; some smoothness but also a note of some hop assertiveness - nothing to get spun up about - it's just a little noticeable
Overall: a very nicely done NEIPA I would very much love to return to.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: pale yellow cloudiness with a two and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: piney/resinous hop tones up front with a mixed tropical fruity hop tone backing up that part up then with some subtle tangerine to orangey hop tones after that; slight sweet oaty-like malts
Flavor: mostly takes the prior noted aromas to a sweet juicy to bittersweet juicy quality; finishes very tangerine to piney/resinous and a touch of mango-ish hints
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper; some smoothness but also a light hop oily vibe strolling across the tongue then a light dryness
Overall: an extremely well done NEDIPA well worthy of coming back to.

Can from the Packie
Pours a lightly hazy dark straw color with a decent sized frothy white head that slowly recedes. Soft bready cereal like maltiness with some light earth and spice to counter. Hints of lemon round this nicely. Surprisingly good beer.

Bottle at CBJ Tasting. Cheers Leighton. Hazy opaque honey gold. Thin foamy translucent white head. Aroma is vinous and dank with light sweetness. Flavourwise it sour - tart and vinous - with juicy hints. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Yep.

My 25th Trillium beer rating. 16 ounce can from Libbey’s Liquors. Number one with a bullet. Medium gold pour is topped by a pillowy white head. Fragrant aromas of coriander, chamomile and zesty citrus. First sip is soft and supple. Notes of coriander, lemon peel, white peppercorns and herbal hops. Light and refreshing.
