Description
Trillium Brewing Company was founded by JC and Esther Tetreault, a young dumb couple in love, planning their wedding and dreaming about how they would spend their lives together. The desire to build a brewery was about more than just making beer, it was about creating a way of life and building a community with which to share experiences. A beer geek and botany nerd, JC chose the trillium flower to represent what we strive to bring to our beer and our lives: beauty, strength, simplicity, and balance. We operate a brewery and taproom in Canton, MA as well as a full service restaurant and brewery in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. We also operate seasonal pop-up beer gardens around the city of Boston under the Trillium Garden project.

Fully hazy bright orange color with a thin head and light, streaky lace. Pineapple, apricot, peach, grapefruit. Bright and flavorful. Somewhat tart, sweet, and a little dry too. Excellent.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: pale yellow chalky color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: white pear, mango, grapefruit zest, pineapple and some passion fruit; clean biscuity malts
Flavor: bittersweet juicy and a touch of zippy zest to round that juice out a bit; great finish of the grapefruit zest, pears and mango
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness and a tickle of hop bitterness
Overall: a very nicely done NEPA very worthy of returning to

Bottle shared by Chris: pours golden with white head. Aroma is light stone fruit, subtle woodiness, and mellow light funkiness. Taste is lightly sour, fruity, some moderate levels of complexity. Woody notes permeate.

Pint can. Pineapple aroma with notes of mango, clementine, tangelo, peach, lemon and grapefruit. Pours hazy golden- orange colored with half a finger of off white head that has good retention and excellent lacing. Starts with juicy pineapple, mango, tangelo and clementine flavors. Finishes dry but still quite smooth with peach, lemon and grapefruit flavors. Quite good.

Canned 1/12/26, drunk 2/13/26.
A lot of Sabro! But it's not mega-intense coconut or sweet, crushed pineapple. More floral, like tangerine oil/tangerine rind and/or freshly squeezed orange juice. It's big and bold and dominant, but there's no resin or anything detracting really. Just kind of a one-trick pony, at least in the nose. Sparse, cracker-and-biscuit-like malts seem supportive. No alcohol noted.
Similar flavors to the nose but there's a big, soft, white bread and honey-like malt element that helps balance the heady floral nature of the nose. The result is a lot of fresh citrus with an afterthought of unripe pineapple and coconut. Low but mostly ample bitterness and fairly fat malts. The hop does seem to require a good deal of malt to balance, but I wish it were a shade drier and more bitter.

13/2/2026. Bottle shared by Colin, cheers! Pours fine. Nice aroma. Malted, earthy, a little musty, wooded, toffee, touch bourbon, fig, raisins. Tastes great, lightly boozy, dried fruits, well balanced sweetness and bitterness, with some earthy woody notes. Good body, smooth, soft carbonation. Enjoyed this.

Thick and oily black pour from the can. Almost no head, aroma is vanilla pod, iced sugar pastry, fresh brewed coffee, and some chocolate notes. Flavour favours the coffee in front and the vanilla sweetness comes after. Very tasty dessert beer.
