Draught @ Vinyl Beer, Manhattan NYC (Apr 2025). Clear dark golden with a foamy light beige head, faint malt aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter medium piney taste with grapefruit flavor, thin body, long mediu bitter finish. Balanced WC IPA.

Canton draught, 7/8/25.
Nice smoothie-like appearance, as pictured.
Lots of dry fruit skin with the blueberry quite prominent. Low sugar, low acidity. Some sweeter fruit and vanilla-like notes on the very end.
Soft, juicy, spicy and with a creamy-sweet malt and almost a cinnamon character lingering. Soft and comforting texture with a pleasing sweetness that isn't overdone. That cinnamon note is odd, though.

Canton draught, 7/8/25.
Clear brass-golden. Small, white head.
Herbaceous greens with light sourdough and cracker. Maybe a hint of soapiness. Or maybe they just want that deep, herbal, floral character here. Clean yeast, low mineral.
Similar floral-heavy greenage in the mouth with deep sourdough and a good depth and light sweetness. Very hoppy as the style calls for. No soapiness in flavor. Interesting, clean and malty with good but not overdone bitterness.

Canton draught, 7/8/25.
Heavily hazy, bronze-maize-golden. Small, white head.
It is juicy, indeed. Hint of pine and mineral with light earth and biscuity malts. Good roundness to the juicy hop leaving no twang.
Bitterness immediately with a soft, fluffy texture and interesting spice, tropical fruit and fresh squeezed OJ. Throw a bit of melon in there and it finishes balanced and nicely bitter. I hope the trend of more bitter NE IPAs persists.

Canton draught, 7/8/25.
Clear copper-brass. Small, white head.
Apples and round citrus with some peppery spice and lots of sweet white bread-like maltiness. Clean. No toast or resin. Juicy pine/spruce on the end.
Frothy, very carbonated with juicy stone fruit and juicy hints of pine and kumquat. Bit of biscuit/cracker drying out the finish with tea and citrus lingering. Clean and balanced. After a bit of a rough start to their WC IPA series, they seem to really be dialing it in.

Canton draught, 7/8/25.
Heavily hazy, bronze-maize-golden. Small, white head.
Nice Citra-Nelson combo with juicy citrus, tropical fruit and good spice. Light honey and white bread-like malts balance gently. No resin or punch.
Bitter up front and leading through to the end. I wouldn't call it astringent but it's definitely assertive. That said, it's a welcome change of pace to have a healthy bitterness. There's still pillowy malt and big juice with spicy Nelson. Retronasal white grape and mineral. I think the Citra dominated the Nelson a bit, unsurprisingly, but this is balanced, malty and dry with none of the issues Trillium often has (chalk, punch, twangy, thinness).

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours an opaque, bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of muddled stone fruit pith, a touch of dankness, and light hopburn. Flavour is moderately fruity, with tropical stone fruit pith, some hopburny bitterness, and a touch of citrus peel. Muddled, hopburny and pithy. Again, even the progenitors of this style don’t do it well. Meh.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours an opaque, murky yellow with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of pithy stone fruits, a touch of hopburn, light dankness. Flavour has plenty of dank hops, bitter citrus peel, stone fruit pith, light hopburn, and petroleum jelly. A bit rough and dirty, but has some good hop character. Even the progenitors of the style don’t nail this style very well these days. It’s alright.

Can from the Packie enjoyed at home.
Pours a dark yellow color with moderate haze and a bubbly white head that slowly recedes. Juicy dank pine and hints of citrus and earth with a faint bready maltiness to hold it together. Pretty nice.

Dark brown pour. Thin foam around the rim. Sweet flavor of cocoa and coconut with coffee notes. Coconut on the palate.
