Description
Trillium Brewing Company was founded by JC and Esther Tetreault, a young dumb couple in love, planning their wedding and dreaming about how they would spend their lives together. The desire to build a brewery was about more than just making beer, it was about creating a way of life and building a community with which to share experiences. A beer geek and botany nerd, JC chose the trillium flower to represent what we strive to bring to our beer and our lives: beauty, strength, simplicity, and balance. We operate a brewery and taproom in Canton, MA as well as a full service restaurant and brewery in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. We also operate seasonal pop-up beer gardens around the city of Boston under the Trillium Garden project.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing to coat surface. Tropical fruit, farmhouse and resin aromas. Soft with grass, caramel and toffee upfront turning to passionfruit and mango before the lasting citrus pith finish.

Bomber, 2 weeks old stored @ fridge temp. light yellow to orange pour. Nose is bursting with citrus, dried grapefruit skins and sweet mango. Taste is crisp, malty and graham cracker. it’s a slight astringent and difficult to finish a glass but overall they nailed the nose and mouthfeel.

32 oz growler tossed via courtesy of Dr. Shithead. Thanks! It’s about fucken time that someone outside of the MA Homer Society got a crack at this one. Pours a milky yellow orange appearance with a white head and seemingly nice carbonation. Wow, the Galaxy hops are amazing in the nose. Big oniony, garlic, lemon/grapefruity, dry cracker aroma. Smells very inviting. Mouth feel is a bit sticky. Dry cracker, very easy drinking, super herbal/dank/oniony hoppy flavor. I’m not sure I get as much citrus as some of the other ratings. I guess the hops remind me more of a dank, grapefruity flavor of Amarillo. Anyhow, super easy to drink and very clean. I’m definitely a fan. Real chill courtesy offering just then via Louise. (Note: originally tasted on 12/13/13 but moving it to the correct place now on 10/26/14).

Lightly warming to finish with burnt wood and nicely dynamic chocolate. Solid beer.

Craft Clerkenwell. Bottle tasting. Big thanks to Bruce for this one. Lightly hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Nose of light citrus and a hint of brett. Nice palate - very airy with mild fine carbonation. Lovely light malts, a modicum of creamy sweetness. Hops are a great mix of mild to medium skunk, light pine, juicy orange and mild peel. Light finish with a mild skunky linger. Lovely beer, so light and well joined up and so very drinkable.
