Description
Trillium Brewing Company was founded by JC and Esther Tetreault, a young dumb couple in love, planning their wedding and dreaming about how they would spend their lives together. The desire to build a brewery was about more than just making beer, it was about creating a way of life and building a community with which to share experiences. A beer geek and botany nerd, JC chose the trillium flower to represent what we strive to bring to our beer and our lives: beauty, strength, simplicity, and balance. We operate a brewery and taproom in Canton, MA as well as a full service restaurant and brewery in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. We also operate seasonal pop-up beer gardens around the city of Boston under the Trillium Garden project.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell - picked up at the brewery. Pours thick black with a dense, frothy beige head. The nose holds lightly aged coffee, dry cocoa, moderate roast. Medium sweet flavor with rich bitter coffee, some earth, dark chocolate. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Lightly warming on the finish with rich bittersweet cocoa, espresso, further burnt earth. Pretty deep. Long finish. Solid.

750 ml bottle thanks going to Willrunforbeer on this gem. Mostly hazy gold with massive head retention that coated the glass. Fantastic aroma! Citrus upfront, scallions, grassy with good yeast. The dry hopping is crazy good.
The flavor is just as nice. Very citrus forward with the grassy/ floral notes hitting in the backend. The bitterness is moderate and again grass and scallion nots. Body is on the medium light side but very palatable. The drinkability is wonderful, so much hop flavor. Thanks for this Brian !

Growler at home in Salisbury. The aroma holds lots of dry biscuits, cereal, faint dough, straw, touches of lemon zest. Light to medium sweet flavor with relaxed, dry wheat character, more biscuits and cereals, mild bitter hay, further lemon notes. Light to medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. More of the same on the finish, great balance, more biscuits, subtle white grapes, straw, flaked wheat. Lovely stuff. Just effortlessly drinkable. Wonderful.

Aroma is big juicy mellon, pretty big nelson sauvin like character, soft citrus and lovely resin. Flavour is composed of juicy peachy tropical fruits, grassy hop, some orange skin. Palate is really smooth, melts on the tongue, some sticky resin. Smoother assertive bitterness and nice fruityness. Really tasty.
