Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with medium retention recedes leaving scant spiders. Chocolate syrup and espresso aromas. Soft with dark chocolate and espresso upfront turning caramel and hot chocolate in the lasting finish.

Pours slightly hazed gold into a tulip. Bright white creamy head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Tropical fruit and yeast aromas. Medium bodied with grapefruit and pineapple upfront turning to dried mango and earthy hops in the lasting finish.

5 Kay, 7.5 Kay, 10 Kay Tasting. Big thanks to Leighton for hauling back more Trillium goodness. Lightly hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is crispy and semi dry. Smooth airy pale malts. Little creamy sweetness. Hops are spicy skunk with mild but bitter floralness. Trace of tropical fruits. Nice hop spice through the finish and well in to the aftertaste. Great beer to finish a great tasting!

Light smooth airy malt, modest sweetness. Hops start with mild marmalade which leads to herby spicy skunk. Nice tropical fruits which turn to fresh orange. Trace of sherbet and lemon. Light finish with a light hop spice linger. The balance of flavours and drinkability is top notch. This beer also managed to render Theydon_Bois speechless, because is spoke to him and I get that. It didn’t quite reach that heady height for me but this is another wonderful beer from Trillium.

Palate is smooth and light and semi dry. Good fine carbonation. Light pale malts, mild malt cream. Hops start with a good dose of skunk then there is strong pithy grapefruit and lighter orange marmalade. Bitter pine and hop spice. Trace of tropical fruits and more bitterness before a light airy finish. Strong bitter linger. Lovely!

A paint like ester is a little bothersome. Touches of dark fruits and dark chocolate. Light bitterish finish. Drinkable but lacks something for big Impy.

375 ml bottle with a orange sticker that is dated 11/18/14. Bottle provided by my friend Sara W. Compared side- by - side with the regular Pot and Kettle. This wins. Aroma is slight subdued and milder, with dark fruits, chocolate and red grape hints.
The dark fruit gives a mild cola hint up front of the sip with the body having a nice fullness. Thick and chewy much like the standard version but no oat flakes. The alcohol is mostly covered with a very light presence after the sip.

750 ml from my friend Sara W. Dated sticker that reads 11/20/14. Nice looking thick tan head sitting on a pitch black Porter. Aroma is dark chocolate, flaked oats, molasses and burnt sugar, nice!
The body of this Porter is thick and chewy with a substantial creamy texture across the tongue that turns into a dry ash hint. Nice coffee character through the sip with sugar and cocoa. Wow... Well made.

Bottle, crushed at the 5/7.5/10K - thanks to L-dawg, 30/12/14. Hazed orange amber with a big old off white covering that retains well @looker. Nose is big pine needle, bitter citric rinds, grapefruit, orange pith, straw. Taste comprises tangerine, mandarin, big pine injection, fresh tropicana, straw, melon, grapefruit, citric pithdom. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness and pine linger in the close. Top draw DIPA !
