Description
Trillium Brewing Company was founded by JC and Esther Tetreault, a young dumb couple in love, planning their wedding and dreaming about how they would spend their lives together. The desire to build a brewery was about more than just making beer, it was about creating a way of life and building a community with which to share experiences. A beer geek and botany nerd, JC chose the trillium flower to represent what we strive to bring to our beer and our lives: beauty, strength, simplicity, and balance. We operate a brewery and taproom in Canton, MA as well as a full service restaurant and brewery in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. We also operate seasonal pop-up beer gardens around the city of Boston under the Trillium Garden project.

750 ml bottle thanks going to Willrunforbeer. Aroma is mango, grapefruit and a mild pine. Sugar covered fruit notes.

Flavor is sweet mango, apricots, upfront. Orange rind and a good level of malt through the center. The finish shows me light grass and a light level of pine. Bitterness show a nice lingering affect. I enjoyed this a lot, nice stuff.

650 ml bottle thanks going to Willrunforbeer. Aroma is pine and grassy, juicy grapefruit. Really nice juicy character.

Flavor is pink grapefruit and sugar on first sip. The alcohol is hidden pretty well. The flavor ends with a mild grassy with a moderate pine. Juicy character that becomes dry in texture after the sip. Real nice beer.

Bottle shared late night in the hotel lobby during RBWG 2015. Pours clear deep gold with a dense, frothy tan head. Piney hops on the nose with citrusy accents. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of spicy rue, more pine, orange rind. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes moderately sweet with some orange peel, bread, rye spice, pine needles. Nice.

Growler from the brewery. Pours perfectly clear gold with s foamy white head that settles into a cream. Pleasant aroma with notes of lightly dried citrus, mellow saison yeast, pithy lemon. Light to medium sweet flavor with moderate grassy bitterness, some melon, grapefruit, more pith. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Light hoppy resins on the finish, some I ether grass, subtle yeast expression, some dried citrus, dry wheat and pale bread. Solid overall.

Bottle from Redstone Tawny amber color with a decent sized bubbly off white head with moderate retention. Fruity candy sugar aromas with hints of yeast spice and a very faint woodiness. Not a whole lot of rum or barrel notes on the aroma, but it smells wonderful. The flavor follows the aroma quite well. Caramel and maybe a hint of molasses sweetness with a solid bit of fruity flavor to counter. Mild spicy earthy yeast notes, and just a touch of wood tannin that ends up more as a drying sensation than any flavor contribution. Medium body, moderate carbonation, sweet crisp mouthfeel. Loved this beer, but felt the rum and barrel notes were subtle to non existent.

Bottle from Redstone. Hazy deep straw color with a decent sized long lasting bubbly white head. Big aromas of grapefruit and apricot mixed with a big of pine and resin with just a touch of faint crackery malt. The flavor is mostly citrus with hints of sweet bread. The flavor is not what I expected from the nose. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation. This smells fantastic and its a solid drinkable beer.
