750ml bottle pours a very murky black with a ring of beige head. Nose has quite a bit of coffee, some molasses, malty, some toast, a little berry jam lurking, some chocolate. Flavor is heavier on the coffee, which is nice, nutty, lightly sweet, brown sugar, molasses, chocolate, mild cakey. Full bodied, lightly sweet finish. Solid.

Clear golden with a medium sized off-white head, good lacing. Aroma of caramel and bready. Flavors of caramel and dusty malts

The beer is a tannish burnt orange color. Rocky off white head. Lots of lacing. Nice sweet tropical fruit hops in the aroma. Little malt character. Very nice. The taste is light and full of hop fruit flavor. Mango, pineapple, a little papaya, mild tangerine. Good stuff. No real malt sweetness but it is fairly sweet. It makes me think of hoppy beers that stay away from early hop additions. Moderate bitterness in the finish. Solid DIPA.

The beer is black with just a tiny bit of brown at the edges. Creamy beige head. Roast, caramel, some mild dark fruit. A little bit of chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, moderately dry finish. Caramel, cocoa, more of the same mild fruitiness. Creamy body, relatively low carbonation. Fairly sticky. Definitely an oatmeal porter.

Bottle thanks to LKS split at the 5/7.5/10K tasteroonie, 30/12/14. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is spice, solid coffee grinds, light charr. Taste comprises rich coffee cake notes, sweetish tones, milk chocolate, light vanilla, chocolate maltesers, sice, dark malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light charr in the close. Solid coffee impy.

Aroma has a noticeable oatmeal note. Medium light roast note with light chocolate character. Medium to medium light dark fruit esters. Hints of caramel and toffee. Pours dark brown, not quite black with a thick, dark tan head that recedes to a small film that lingers, thicker on edges. High lacing and smallish legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with a nice balance of roast and chocolate, both showing through nicely. Medium light dark fruit esters with a fairly strong oatmeal character. Medium bitterness and slight alcohol spice. Hints of caramel, toffee and butterscotch. Mouthfeel is rather full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Fairly sticky, though it does dry out a bit in the finish. Sightly creamy. Overall, a nice porter but also just a porter. A lot of oatmeal character with some nice roast and chocolate. Secondary dark fruit notes with fainter caramel and toffee. I feel I prefer a regular, less sweet porter.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is very hop forward with a light, background malt character. Lots of tropical fruit and citrus with lighter stone fruit and resin. Pineapple mango and guava are most prevalent. Pours a cloudy, pale, golden orange with some copper hues and a thick, white head that exhibits nice retention. High lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with a slight honey character and some light caramel notes. Rather strong bitterness with a light alcohol spice in the finish. Moderate orange and grapefruit notes with some light stone fruit, especially peach. Moderate tropical fruit with mango being most prevalent. Hints of resin and melon. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice IPA with a lot of tropical and stone fruit. A little sweet and malty for my preferences, but the hop character is nice and works well with the sweetness.
