Canned 9/15/25, drunk 10/10/25.
Heavily hazy, bronze-maize-golden. Medium-sized, off-white head, sits at one finger.
Oh, a collab beer?! So that means it's going to be good!? Yep. Trillium really mailing it in these days except on their collabs. And here with Monkish, no less! Indeed it smells excellent; Spicy, deep and full of tropical fruit and white wine. Funk, mineral, zesty citrus and rich, but not too sweet, honey and white bread-like malts. Almost smells more Monkish than Trillium, dare I say.
Earthy and full of mineral and white wine. No herb here, just beautiful spice and tropical fruit with zesty citrus, a healthy bitterness and no chalk/twang/booze. Biscuity, lightly bready malts are fairly supple, definitely well-attenuated. Lingering pineapple, mango, unripe papaya and a hint of pine. Really wonderful balance. Maybe a touch short on the finish, leaving a bit of dull bitterness and particulate lingering.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Opaque dark brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine carbonation. Soft smooth dark malts, a good dark malt creamy sweetness. Mellow and slightly tangy chocolate and chocolate brownie. Mild oaty sweetness. Soft coffee. Not that complex but, rich enough.

33cl bottle pours a murky, opaque and very leggy black. Basically zero head. Nose has malt, toast, molasses, licorice, port, raisinette. Flavor is deeply malty and sugar, black strap molasses, grain, Kahlua, cinnamon now, cola reduction. Full bodied, sweet, sticky, boozy finish.

Draft at Maloney’s, 10/2/25. Darker yellowish color, plenty of lace. Sweet orange, overripe mango, and some papaya. Strong malty backbone to it. Solid overall. Rather sweet overall. Somewhat sticky. Pretty good.

Pours a hazy, lemon pie yellow, with mid-sized head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit, with some bread/biscuit. Flavors follow. Soft mouthfeel. Moderate hop bitterness in the finish.

0.473l can. Aroma of resin, citrus, pineapple, mango and biscuit. Pours hazy dark golden color with medium sized soapy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy tropical fruity and citrusy, following is grainy and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is rather dry and average bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Pier or not 2 Pier…

Rich and silky, moderately sweet, sugary black coffee, cocoa, background roast, a little ash and earth, dark fruits, nips of raisins. Medium to full bodied with fine carb. Lightly warming finish, some further cocoa, ashy bitterness, brownies. Sound. Smooth overall.
