Bottle. Deep chestnut-amber coloured, hazy with a quickly vanishing medium-sized fluffy off-white head. Chocolate and dried fruit with a tinge of molasses in the sourish-wheaty nose. Moderate sweet-sour flavour, light to medium bodied. Sweetish-wheaty and sourish finish with distinctive traces of dried fruits. Not bad at all.........

Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Chestnut-amber coloured, small off-white head with a little lace; almost not sweetish, mainly coffeeish and a bit sourish nose; moderate sweet, slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; short sweetish-bitter finish with toasted-malty and coffeeish traces. Bottle (purchased at the Brauerei): Clear, chestnut-amber coloured with reddish spots; small foamy beige head; quite solid sweet nose: sweet dark malt, dried morilles, raisins and some molasses; moderate to soloid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied, a bit sticky; illusions of hops detectable in the sweet-bitter, dark fruity to vinous finish. A bit on the malty side, but all in all a very decent Doppelbock.......

Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Golden coloured, smaller, beaten egg-white-like white foam; quite restrained hoppy - not bitter - and sweet pale-malty nose with the faintest tinge of alcohol; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; juicy citrousy-hoppy finish with, as expected, a strong support of pale malt, becomes hoppier in the aftertaste. a restrained, but all in all a very pleasant and well rounded Bock.............

(bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a fluffy white foam. Light-sweet wheat-malty and citrus-/banana-fruity aroma with light clovy notes. Sourish sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, soft on carbon. Slightly yeasty, moderately wheaty taste with a marked fruity note of banana and ripe citrus fruits; moderately dry, sweet and sourish fruity finish with light phenolic spice. Balanced and enjoyable Weizen (11.05.08).

(bottle) Hazy, dark mahogany colour with a medium-sized beige frothy head. Slightly yeasty and sweet wheat-malty nose combined with a touch of dark, toasted malt and a sourish, slightly citrus-fruity and minimal plumy note. Sourish bitter flavour with light hints of sweetness, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dark and wheat-malt character, slightly sourish fruity with light clovy spice; sour-fruity and faint toasty finish with light notes of chocolate/cacao in the aftertaste. Works well (11.05.08).
