Description
Tiny Rebel was founded in Newport in 2012 by brothers-in-law Bradley Cummings and Gareth Williams. Williams had learned to homebrew with his grandfather, and introduced his brother-in-law to the hobby. After brewing in Cumming's father's garage for a number of years, the pair decided to make their hobby their profession. They rented an industrial unit in the Maesglas area of the city.

The company opened their £2.6million brewery and bar in Rogerstone on 1 July 2017.

Cask at CP&K. It pours hazy straw yellow with a small white head. The nose is farmyard, hay, wood, sweet fruit, apple, pear, melon, light spice and faint smoke. The taste is rather smooth, light apple, pear, touch of zesty citrus, orange, dough, baryard, faint spice with a bitter-sweet finish. Med-full body, low carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Hides the abv very well indeed. Not a whole depth of flavour, but easier drinking than you’d expect

Cask at The Lyric - London. Pours clear gold with a fine, white foam head. Ripe orange and melon in the nose, some pale malts. Light to medium sweet flavor, lots of juicy citrus fruits, some pale bread, melon, canteloupe, orange, light pine. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Great condition. Mellow piney resins to finish, some bready malts, more ripened citrus, orange, melon. Very nice beer. Great balance. Great depth for the ABV. (3.9)

Cask at the Clapton Hart - London. Pours clear gold with a white cream head. Good pee hop nose, some orange, too. Light sweet flavor with dry grapefruit most of all. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish with nice citrus, some pith. Really great and drinkable. (3.8)

Aroma: Boiled vegetables, vine tomato and straw.

Appearance: Hazy golden body with a pillowy white head. Lively carbonation. Nice lacing.

Taste: Grassy and vinous. Bitter finish.

Palate: Medium body with an oily texture, Average carbonation.

Overall: A decent American Pale Ale, but I’m not sure if I like the Nelson Sauvin hop.
