Description
Tiny Rebel was founded in Newport in 2012 by brothers-in-law Bradley Cummings and Gareth Williams. Williams had learned to homebrew with his grandfather, and introduced his brother-in-law to the hobby. After brewing in Cumming's father's garage for a number of years, the pair decided to make their hobby their profession. They rented an industrial unit in the Maesglas area of the city.

The company opened their £2.6million brewery and bar in Rogerstone on 1 July 2017.

Bottle at home, thanks to an IP with Essex Jim, 01/01/13. Pours dark dark amber/chestnut brown with a thin off white head that assumes a frothy bubbleness clinging to the outer circle. Nose carries juicy hops, pine, mango, light grapefruit, subtle background rausch. Taste comprises hops, pine, grapefruit, mango, caramel malts, mineral tones, great blend of smoke, enough to be noticed, enough to remain a well balanced hoppy IPA. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hoppy bitter finish with a touch of smoke. Great stuff, the Tiny Rebel folks never seem to produce a dud ! Bis meine Straße !

Bottle at home (thanks to Jim Essex for the IPT) 31/12/12. Hazed mid amber with a thin white head that soon clears to the edge. Nose is pale malts, touch of caramel, pine, hops, bitter orange, a little subdued compared to other beers from TR. Taste comprises bitter orange, touch of grapefruit, caramel malt, pine, grass, hops, mineral tones. Medium bodied with fine carbonation, bitterness in the finish. Decent enough APA but not their best work to date!

Keg at Craft Beer Co. - Brixton, London. Pours cloudy, ruby-brown with a lasting, creamy white head. Nose holds lots of ripe citrus, orange and grapefruit, along with rich melon and pine. Medium to big sweet flavor, some toasty bread, suggestons of brown sugar, sweet and ripe citrus, mild dirty pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Good and resinous finish, some dirty pine, earth, well and ripe grapefruit and melon, sweet bread. Lingering earth, toasty bread, pine and grapefruit. Tasty, fairly ballsy IPA.

Draft at Cask Pub and Kitchen. Pouts hazy orange brown with a small off white head. Aroma is massive molasses, caramel, toffee, slightly sickly, cheesy old socks, hops subdued by the sweetness. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Full bodied with soft carb. Interesting, but a bit much.
