330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally floral hoppy aroma is mixed with strawy notes and hints of red berries, a touch of orange fruit jam, watery honey. Taste is dry hoppy, hints of wet straw, unspecific fruity hints from a far background, diluted honey; in the finish wet strawy, grassy, earthy, minimally chalky.

33cl bottle from Ales byMail. bb 2/14. Dark golden almost clear, thick fluffy white head. Pine, citrusfruits, herbal notes in aroma. Flavor has pine, grapefruit, herbs with a layer of caramel towards finish. Rounded, smooth, bitter finish. Nice dipa, nice balance .

Bottle from ’Jacks’ Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Tuesday 17th. Consumed at home Thursday 19th September 2013 Pours hazy dark gold, light amber in colour, filmy white head. Aroma very much like an American IPA but I guess with American hops it was heading this way. Sweet in mouth, perhaps a little too sweet, some sweet tangerine but a slight resin edge. Its good, thick in the mouth, bittersweet just a little too sweet and heavy at times, but I did enjoy this. A6 A3 T8 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bottle from ’Jacks’ Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Tuesday 17th. Consumed at home Thursday 19th September 2013 Pours straw colour with a white head. Good nose, in mouth there is a little zippy, fuzziness, citrus but overall not too distinct, I’m guessing that this would be great in cask, in bottle, it is found wanting a little, lacks oomph and bite even a tad thin, that said Loz loved it. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.2

Cask (handpump) @ Craft Beer Co - Islington, 55 White Lion Street, Islington, Greater London, England N1 9PP.Clear medium to dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, sweet berry, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, berry - dried fruit, caramel, chocolate, sweet dark malt, candy sweet. Keg at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours clear gold, fairly effervescent with a tight, creamy white head. Perfume and flowers in the nose with hints of citrus rind. Light to medium sweet flavor with melon, grapefruit, more citrus rind, some flowers and grass. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mello hoppy resins to finish, some dry pale malts, pine needles, melon, orange and grapefruit. Another good, dynamic offering from the What is, in my mind, the best Welsh brewery.
