Red Cat Brewing is an independent brewery creating imaginative craft beer in Winchester, Hampshire. Combining our team's heritage from traditional brewing and the pub trade, we use our experience to produce a variety of continental and modern styles, as well as a range of more traditional beers. Cask @ Butchers Hook, Southampton. Tawny-amber with a very thin bubbly head. Fuller-bodied with lightish bitter-sweet notes.

Cask @ Junction Inn, Southampton. Slightly deeper-golden in appearance with a very thin head. Its a low to mid malty bittered session ale.

ABV: 6.0%. Hazy medium to light amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, fruity hops, grapefruit, blood grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a average duration, grapefruit - grapefruit peel, caramel, hops bitter, sugary sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20190620]

Cask at GBBF '22 day 2, 03/08/22. Almost clear golden blonde with a just off white cap that dissipates to spotting. Nose is juicy citric peel, melon, grass, light pine nip. Taste comprises soft malts, orange zest, tangerine, grass, floral notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close splashed with balanced juicy hop bitterness. Decent cask pale.

Draught (Olafs Tun, Southampton) - Almost black in colour. Coffee, vanilla, chocolate and hints of wood in the aroma. Smooth, roasted and chocolatey taste with coffee and vanilla standing out.

Cask (Handle Bar, Southampton) - Hazy amber. Orange and even some herbal notes in the aroma. Orange, peach and herbs in the taste. They did not pull it off here

500ml bottle from Bitter Virtue: BB 13th April 2023. Drank at sea on the balcony of my cabin on Britannia, 13th June 2022. Clean golden look, white head. Citrus front to the aroma and taste, malts kick in later to give a good balance, other fruits join in along with a pney note or two.

Pours black with a small frothy beige head. The aroma is roasted and earthy, dark malts, light liquorice and earthy hop notes. A malty earthy taste, roasted malts, cocoa powder and earthy nutty flavours with a smooth bitter chocolate finish.
