Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dried fruit - dry dried fruit, moderate to heavy hoppy, wood. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hoppy, old hops, dried fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130831]

Draft @ Falling Rock Tap House, Denver, CO. Pours a reddish amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel hoppy aroma with weak hints of grapefruit. Fruity malty hoppy bitter caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

On tap at the brewpub. This was served way to cold. At first there was no aroma or flavor. Took about 5 minutes of warming it up with my hands then it changed into a different beer

Bomber from the Tin Bucket. Pours a dark copper color with a large off-white head. A sweet lemon, biscuit and yeasty nose. The flavor is odd, maybe off: citrus, big sweetness, almost to DMS corn levels or even perhaps light diacetal, it’s hard to say next to big sweet citrus and malts. Bitterness is medium. Again, it’s a very round odd sweetness, something almost like plastic or corn. I strongly suspect some quality problem here. I’ll happily re-rate. Not too good as is.

On tap @ Bailey’s Taproom, Portland. Pours clear amber with a creamy finger thick mocha head. Aroma is bitter and hoppy ,with pine and orange peel as well as sweet apricot. Full body with average carbonation. Flavour is bitter with orange peel and peach, giving a long bitter finish.

on tap at pike brewing Dark orange Resinous like the other beers. Lots of pine needle. Some ginger as well. Not very good. Thin and dry. Buttery also some kiwi but weak and not drinkable to me

Bottled@SBWF2013. Close to pitch black colour, with a small beigeish brown head to it. Aroma and flavour are both liquorice, chocolate, some slight fruity and roasted notes along with a mild ashyness as well.

Bottled at SBWF. Picth black, beige head. Apply licorice aroma. Mid sweet with full body and clean mouthfeel. Caramel and molasses, some licorice. Mid bitter finish. Simplistic.
