[ As Brewhouse & Kitchen (Highbury) No. 19 Brown Porter ].Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, chocolate, sweet malt, artificial sweet. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, artificial chocolate, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150731]

[ As Brewhouse & Kitchen (Highbury) Tramshed ].Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, pape malt, nutty notes, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150731]

Cask at the BrewPub. It pours darkest brown with a quickly dissipating beige head. The nose is earthy, toasty, sweet treacle, liquorice, umami and dark fruits. The taste is bitter, surprisingly light, earthy, burnt toast, charred wood, umami and salted liquorice with a dry, toasty finish. The aroma is OK, but it tastes rather weak and insipid. Not keen on this juan.

Cask at the Brewpub. It pours clear deep amber with a decent off-white head. The nose is sweet toffee, caramel, wood, leather, raisin and fruit cake. The taste is bitter-sweet, caramel, chewy malt, leather, toffee, pepper, light resin and varnish with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Medium body and soft carbonation. Tastes more like a bitter than anything else. Not bad for what it is.
