Cask at the brewpub. It pours clear dark ruby-brown with a decent beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, quite fruity, bizarre Irn Bru aspect, stewed orange and orange sherbet. The taste is bitter upfront, burnt pine, varnish, charred wood, pithy grapefruit, umami, salted caramel and liquorice. Finish is quite dry and toasted. Medium body and fine carbonation. Overall not bad at all with the aroma being particularly good.

Cask at the rewpube, 10/06/15. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is citric peel, grassy notes, tangerine, light bread dough. Taste comprises citric pith, grain, bread, lemon rind, trace of melonics. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light hop bitterness in the close. Ok sessioner for sure but the hop factor is a little too restrained to make me want to revisit this.
